About Sigma Pharmaceuticals Plc
Sigma Pharmaceuticals plc has been established as a licensed wholesaler and distributor
for over 25 years. The family-owned business was started in 1975 from a small community
pharmacy in Watford and has since grown into one of the largest pharmaceutical distributors
in the country, employing over 400 people, and servicing over 3000 pharmacies, 1000
hospitals and 600 dispensing doctors throughout the UK and Europe.
Core products and services include generic drugs, branded medicines, parallel trade
and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, whilst several other divisions have recently
been set-up to accommodate the ever-changing landscape of community pharmacy. Sigma
aims to work closely with all of their customers and suppliers to provide reliability,
flexibility, quality management and a high level of customer care, whilst working
to the highest regulatory and industry standards; their quality operations continue
to meet the stringent requirements enforced by the Medicines and Healthcare Products
Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Sigma’s success story has been recognised through the years by a range of external
and independent organisations for the services they have provided to the pharmacy
sector. The company is committed to providing exceptional customer service and exceeding
the requests of their customers by going above and beyond what is asked.
“The world of pharmacy is continually changing. In order to continue to thrive as
a business, we must understand the trends and forces that will shape our business
in the future and move swiftly to prepare for what's to come. In very much the same
way, we want to help our customers prepare for tomorrow today with the services
we provide.”
“Our mission statement is simple: to continually grow a business where we have satisfied
customers, satisfied suppliers and satisfied employees. Without these three ingredients,
we have no company.”
